Alfa & Omega Rosin family was born in March, 2022, from a dream to make available to everyone, an adaptive and fully customisable rosin base, that can meet the most demanding sound, environmental, bowing techniques needs, starting from a strong and projecting sound for film music recordings, to the most lyrical passages of Verdi Opera arias, where a silky sweet and warm, but also bright and luminous tone is absolutely a must. That is why composer Istvan J. Balazs, started its heavy research and development in 2021 in his quest for finding the secret recipe and the perfect blend of various rosin types and their acoustic, stickiness/gripping and bow slipping characteristics. After the final recipe has been finalised, in 2022 March, Istvan started making the first handmade premium rosins for Violin, Viola and Cello, based on his own one-of-its kind revolutionary formula called “Rewarmed Traditional Fluid Blending”.
